Wargame Trader Conditioning Overview

This guide establishes standardized criteria for evaluating the condition of wargame miniatures, terrain pieces, and associated stat cards. It addresses common imperfections resulting from handling, storage, gameplay, and manufacturing, ensuring transparency and consistency in the hobby community. Key Aspects of Condition Assessment

The condition of an item is determined by the presence and severity of imperfections, which may include:

  • Wear and Damage: Resulting from play, handling, or storage.
  • Manufacturing Defects: Atypical issues arising during production.

Imperfections are characterized by their Type (e.g., scratch, chip, bending) and Severity (e.g., slight, moderate). Some imperfections may affect the item's integrity, impacting:

  • Structure: Physical stability and durability.
  • Functionality: Usability in gameplay.

Any imperfections should be noted in the description of the listing. Sellers should try to capture those imperfections in a custom image uploaded to the listing if possible.

Common Imperfections

Miniatures & Terrain

  • Paint Wear: Fading, chipping, or inconsistent application.
  • Structural Damage: Broken or missing parts, warping, or cracks.
  • Surface Marks: Scratches, scuffs, or grime accumulation.

  • Creases/Tears: Folds or rips affecting readability.
