Ruling over Lothlórien is the Lady Galadriel, an Elf who has existed since the First Age. Such is the power that Galadriel possesses that she is held in awe by both Elves and mortals alike, and there are few in Middle-earth who could hope to match her mastery of magic. Through the power of Nenya, one of the three Elven Rings, Galadriel is able to keep Lothlórien safe, and by using her mirror she is able to reveal mysteries of what was, what is, and what has not yet come to pass.
