The successor to the original BattleTech Salvage Box , BattleTech Salvage Box: Mercenaries is a lucky-dip box containing one plastic BattleMech miniature for use in the classic BattleTech tabletop and Alpha Strike games. The box also provides one dry-erase card, which are intended to directly support Alpha Strike gameplay, and one new Pilot Card. The Mercenaries Salvage Box was created as a part of the 2023 Mercenaries Crowdfunding Campaign . The miniature in each Salvage Box is determined randomly, although the Alpha Strike dry-erase card and Pilot Card match the BattleMech. Salvage boxes were available in the Kickstarter through three routes: those who backed the Kickstarter at a level that entitled them to receive lance or star packs and chose to receive a lance pack received one free Salvage Box per lance pack to ensure parity of 'Mechs; those who pledged at the Recruit tier or higher received one or more free Salvage Boxes as a part of their pledge; and Salvage Boxes could be purchased as Kickstarter add-ons for US$8 each.
