The Drums of Moria are used to alert Goblins throughout the endless caverns, and to call them to battle. Though the drum is not magical in any way, its loud beating can cause a deadly fighting spirit to come over the Goblins of Moria, allowing them to continue fighting when they would usually run from the battle.
