In the centuries since the Dark Marshal and his fellow kings became Ringwraiths, he has become even more sadistic and malicious. The most black-hearted and unrelentingly cruel of all the Nazgûl, his name is a byword for misery and death. Where the Dark Marshal passes, Evil creatures fight harder, fearful of their lives whilst Good warriors feel the icy touch of death upon their hearts.

This pack contains The Dark Marshal on foot and riding a horse. These models are finely detailed resin cast miniatures. They are supplied as six separate components, and come with one 25mm Round Base and one 40mm Round Base. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.

The Dark Marshal is the most militant of all Sauron's Nazgul. With a higher fight than any other Ringwraith, he is the equal of even the mighty Aragorn in combat. The only drawback is his single attack. You can overcome this by supporting him with Orcs and spear armed warriors, but the best way to ensure victory in combat is to Transfix his opponent. The Dark Marshal is ideally placed in your main battle line, where you Warriors will benefit from his Rule through Fear ability (counts as a banner for all Evil Warriors with 6") and he can assist their efforts with powerful spells.

With such a high Courage value you'll want to keep the Dark Marshal around in case your force breaks. As with any Ringwraith, his Will reserves eventually dwindle - once he's down to two or three, withdraw him from danger and have him lurk around at the back of you lines. The added benefit of having him survive to the closing stages of the game is that his Harbinger of Evil (reduces the Courage value of and Good models within 12") rule will make it harder for your opponent to pass their courage tests once their own force is broken.
